This work consists of layers of pattern and is loaded with history. The patterns contain soul. The work has a sculptural feel and there is a strong reference to Shona sculpture. As a 3rd generation Zimbabwean sustaining a family lineage traceable to various locations in Europe the unconscious memories of the artist are complex, interrupted and multilayered.
