After a blast, what remains is not only debris, but silence. In State of the World II, the ochre carries both ash and earth. A black marking in the corner — shrapnel or punctuation — grounds the chaos. This is not memory, but aftermath. A moment caught between horror and heavy quiet. Landscapes no longer depict nature, but impact. Here, the world is scorched by proximity: the air holds tension, the canvas holds its breath. You step into this painting as a witness.
